Our Country Escape project sits on a beautiful rural property, serving as a weekender for our corporate clients who live in the CBD. The brief was to design a home that felt like a country lodge, with an open layout that can be used for cooking and entertaining with family and friends.

To fulfil this brief, we designed an open living, kitchen, and dining area with stacking sliding doors that open onto a large balcony creating a seamless link to the outdoors. Natural materials were selected to bring the beauty of the surrounding environment indoors. A wood burning fireplace and an earthy colour palette encompassing hints of the foliage seen in the garden contributes to the feeling of immersing oneself in their natural surroundings.
